The Great Start Collaborative of Sanilac County is excited to announce TWO PARENT CAFES on:
1. Friday, January 24, 2025
2. Friday, February 28, 2025
Both cafes will be from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at the Sanilac Career Center, 175 E Aitken Road in Peck. These valuable events are FREE and open to all, but space is limited. Dinner, a gas card, and limited onsite childcare are provided. There will also be giveaways, raffles, and more! *Please register for one or both cafe(s) below!
What is a Parent Cafe?
A parent café is a place where parents of all types can gather and share their stories, their experiences, their worries, their fears, their wisdom, and find community and strength together.
The goal of the Parent Café is to create an environment where parents can engage in a conversation with other parents facing similar challenges, joys, and questions surrounding the Five Protective Factors:
1. Parent Resilience
2. Relationships: Positive Social Connections
3. Support: Concrete Support in Times of Need
4. Knowledge: Knowledge of Parenting and Child Development
5. Communication: Social and Emotional Competence
